So I must say this is one of my FAVORITE sci-fi romance series now and I have absolutely fallen in love with this world and the characters! Revisiting characters who have already been covered I think is a great idea and I really enjoyed Megan and Cashol's short story. It kind of gives you a little "fix" while you're waiting for the next big installment (thanks, Dixon!). Can't wait to find out which bachelors are the mates to the newly discovered women. I think I'm pretty fascinated with Rokan and Warrec and the rest of the bachelors I just hope find their matches soon--feel so bad for them! Can't wait to find out which bachelor captured and mated with the one woman. Hope his story is next! Anyway, also what's on that island that they could see through the special binocular-like tool? So interested to find out more about this planet! Keep going, Dixon! Each book gets better and better!!!

I love this series. I absolutely can't get enough of the big blue aliens. Sexy, sweet, and soooo much more! This was a short story, but it's full of everything that makes the Ice Planet Barbarians the best series in sci fi/paranormal type books I've read in forever. Five stars! Cannot wait for more more more!!

I hate to give a bad review. This is the first story in this series that has not been given an easy five star rating. I could not stand Megan’s story. She is wimpy and annoying. She cries the whole time because her mate has to go hunting. I find her selfish to only think of herself and her needs. I could not stand her. I loved her mate cashol he pics sweet and thoughtful. She did not deserve him. Not the best book in the series. Had to struggle to finish it.
This was just a cute little story between Megan and Cashol. She's very pregnant and he must hunt for the brutal season.She's needy and emotional and is staying busy with a treasure hunt he left for her. So sweet.

She makes the other mated women help her finish a hammock for her mate.

She refuses to go into labor until her mate comes back, but her baby says otherwise, and ............He comes home at the last minute.
I love love love these glimpses of life we're getting for the aliens and their mates. I mean, I love the big stories, too, but the little ones just make me so happppppy.

This time around we got to see Megan and Cashol being all sweet and gooey with one another. Megan's a wee bit on the clingy side, but she has good reason to be. I ADORED how she loved Cashol's goofy side and tried to temper her clinginess because she knew Cashol was doing something that needed to be done. Honestly, I really, really got where her fears were coming from. After what she'd been through during the initial abduction, the thought of losing someone close to her was overwhelming.

This one got a big *thumbs up* from me, although it's definitely not a stand alone. It just adds a little depth to the characters we've come to know and love on this icy planet.

Having the Barbarian’s Baby is a short story in the Ice Planet Barbarians series. It features Megan and Cashol. Megan never got her own book, but ended up mating off the bat.

She’s got some attachment issues. On earth her boyfriend left her alone and pregnant, then the aliens kidnapped her and ended the pregnancy, and now she’s on this alien planet mated and pregnant, afraid to be alone.

Cashol is a sweet, fun guy and total into his pregnant mate. He doesn’t want to leave her side, but he needs to do his far share of the hunting, which he has been neglecting; because his mate can’t stand the thought of him going.

It was a nice short story in the series. Showing one of the couples we didn’t get a full novel on. It was sweet what Cashol does for his mate, a treasure hunt, while he is gone out hunting.

I love this series and yes it did finish all to soon *sniff *tear* it was great to see everyone.
Megan finally has her baby and well Cashol is just awesome.
Looking forward to the next story in this series. Full length novel of short, sweet novella it will be great.
Oh my God this was so stinking cute! I have to admit that I found Megan the whiniest, most clingy pregnant woman imaginable at the start of the story. I also couldn't believe that the situation with Cashol as a hunter had gone on as long as it had (which made me disrespect him a little too). But when they were so cute together and Cashol showed his cheerful, goofy side with names, I forgave them both. What really, really got me was the bit at the end--so adorable. I am embarrassed to say that I got a little misty-eyed. Also, be sure to read on through Ruby's note at the end for a little trivia bit about the tribe that was really cool. I hope she does more of these short pieces. My second fav book (after the first) is the Ice Planet Holidays novella so shorter doesn't mean less fun.
